Description

The Wealth Business Analyst is a professional role focused on business analysis and reporting. The role will require significant interaction with various business partners. This is a critical role to both measure business results and support critical business functions. A qualified candidate will get an opportunity to work in a collaborate environment and be a key component to the success of the business.


The Wealth Business Analyst role is responsible to:

  • Assisting with the design and implementation of internal management reporting process to support management routines within Wealth Management with a focus on trends and monitoring of business performance. End state process needs to include output for each of the individual business lines within Wealth as well as for Consolidated Wealth as needed
  • Requires working with several areas including Sales, Operations, Risk, Product and Finance to gather necessary data
  • Ability to manage significant amounts of data is a key success factor
  • Perform quality control on output produced to ensure accuracy of information
  • Interpret reporting results for presentation to management
  • Establish and manage all project tasks – or parts of an assigned project – within scope, quality and timeframe allocated with minimal supervision
  • Establish and convey clear meeting objectives, facilitate discussions to ensure transparency, mitigate conflicts/ discrepancies, gain consensus, and document/ circulate any and all decisions, follow-ups and/or assigned action items
  • Collaborate extremely effectively with team members
  • Assist senior management with assigned deliverables as needed
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality on matters designated as sensitive or secret
  • Contribute towards maintaining a strong risk management and regulatory control environment


Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in data analysis or related roles
  • Working knowledge of financial reporting, metrics and analytics
  • Ability to work independently as well as within groups
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail is critical including ability to work with data to develop metrics and analytics
  • Experience with the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, MS Access) and the ability to present results
  • Excellent written and verbal communications; ability to communicate with all levels of colleagues and adapt/ tailor messages depending upon the audience
  • Ability to work independently as well as within groups of two or more, as needed
  • Strong relationship management skills; ability to independently build and nurture rapport with internal clients and business partners


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Finance Services, particularly the Securities/ Investments industry
  • Experience with Salesforce reporting and analytics tools
  • Experience with online project tools such as Jira, Confluence and PlanView


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; advanced degree a plus
  • Relevant recognized formal qualification in Business Analysis is desirable but not essential
