The Technology Services Department (TS) of the City and County of Denver is using state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies to deliver and improve the systems, applications and operations that we deliver to our customers. About Marketing Services
Marketing Services (MS) enhances customer experience citywide by aligning digital technologies with traditional marketing and communications efforts. MS manages and promotes the city’s priority messaging, brand identity, website, digital marketing platforms, Denver 8 TV, and the city’s municipal and community television stations. MS provides marketing and video production resources to city agencies and departments and administration of the city’s cable franchise and public education access agreements.

The City and County of Denver Marketing Technology team is looking for a Marketing Business Systems Analyst. The ideal candidate will turn data into information, information into insights, and insights into actionable business decisions.
Additionally, the Marketing Business Analyst will:
- Use specialized expertise in Customer Relationship Management [CRM] and marketing technology software or platforms to improve the user (residents and internal data users) experience, reporting and campaign execution
- Perform regular maintenance on Marketing Cloud contacts and distribution lists
- Build and execute Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud campaigns to support agency and department goals
- Monitor data quality to identify business trends and implement changes to improve marketing outcomes
- Develop and regularly examine reports to identify and resolve any issues
- Distribute monthly reports with key insights to communicate findings to primary stakeholders
- Develop standard data retention processes for use across agencies and departments
- Troubleshoot data issues from Marketing Cloud sends (e.g., bounces)
About You
We are looking for someone with some or all the following skills and experience:
- 2-3 years of experience as business analyst, Salesforce administrator or marketing data analyst
- Knowledge and experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and core CRM (Service Cloud)
- Experience delivering projects using Agile-based methodologies and using backlog management platforms (Azure DevOps)

Preferred Marketing Cloud certifications:
- Marketing Cloud Administrator
- Marketing Cloud Email Specialist

Preferred Service Cloud certifications:
- Salesforce Administrator
- Preferred: Experience with Power BI

- Education requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics or a related field.
- Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of professional level experience working on an integrated technology software system development and/or production support team. Two (2) years of this experience must have included performing project leadwork for routine projects and/or projects that are limited in scope as a member of cross-functional teams to address and analyze business requirements and automated systems issues, along with other development al aspects of assigned projects.
- Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
- Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
