Salesforce Functional Analyst

The Functional Analyst role serves as a liaison between multiple business units and technology teams to define processes, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement new functionality and enhancements for the enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform. This position will document stakeholder requirements and processes, measure/monitor process efficiency, and assist with troubleshooting. They will also partner with stakeholders to coordinate any related testing, training, and change management efforts. This is a business-facing and technology-facing role, requiring excellent communication and organizational skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the implementation of new and enhanced capabilities of an enterprise Salesforce CRM platform.
  • Review and map business processes from current to future state, recommend business and tech requirements and scope, and proactively champion change to improve/support customer and stakeholder capabilities.
  • Work effectively with business leaders, stakeholders, and technology teams in a collaborative manner, building constructive and effective relationships.
  • Lead functional and technical discussions and communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, moving between providing functional/technical design details and sharing how a technical design would enhance business processes.
  • Partner with Product Owner on product vision, requirements definition, and capability mapping to ensure requirements align with customer and business unit processes and needs.
  • Translate requirements into technical specifications that can be used for development and break down technical complexities so that they can be easily understood by business units and end users.
  • Partner with the development team in the design, testing and deployment of changes to ensure the solution meets the agreed upon business requirements and is supportable and scalable.
  • Develop and maintain projects plans to facilitate progress reports and ensure deliverables are met. Ensure there is buy-in from stakeholders on all major decisions and that other technology teams are aligned on project and resource requirements.
  • Facilitate stakeholder requirements and scope alignment meetings with multiple business units.
  • Partner with business stakeholders in the development of business cases and project charters.
  • Coordinate and assist with communication, testing, training, and deployment.
  • Ensure process and system documentation is created and remains current.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of team members, including executives, managers, end users across a variety of business unites, technology professionals, and subject matter experts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Self-starter that can work effectively within time constraints, changing priorities, and independently.
  • Experience in process mapping, group facilitation, data gathering and analysis, and phases of project life cycle (requirements gathering, design, development, deployment, training, and measuring effectiveness) and/or Agile Development cycles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Including Intermediate in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Three or more years’ experience as a business analyst, project manager, or product owner.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical and business experience.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience working with Salesforce or another CRM platform.
  • Experience in JIRA and Agile methodology.
  • Experience in facilitating requirement workshops/training sessions with large groups of business stakeholders and technology teams.
  • Intermediate to strong SQL query skills.
  • Administration of CRM tool.
