Overview of Role :
CME Group is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. The successful candidate will have excellent technical and problem-solving skills, a passion for data, and experience in GCP data services.
Responsibilities :
As a Data Engineer at CME, you will be responsible for acquiring, cleansing, and ingesting structured and unstructured data from internal and external data sources. You will create and maintain a single, unified, authoritative view of data, combining data from disparate sources into a data lake environment. You will also create and provide test data to support fully automated testing, and enable and support data movement from one system/service to another.
In addition, you will be responsible for defining and implementing processes and procedures to ensure resiliency of data, software, and platforms. You will design, build, operationalize, secure, and monitor data processing systems with emphasis on security, compliance, scalability, reliability, and portability.
Skillsets :
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in GCP data services, including BigQuery, Dataflow, Data Fusion, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, and Google Cloud Storage. You should also have experience in programming languages such as Python
