About the role
If you are an experienced Financial analyst who works with financial analytics, financial reporting and data management this is a fantastic opportunity to join the Finance team as the global leader in implantable hearing devices! Cochlear is helping people hear, and be heard, all over the world. In this role, you will be based in our Americas head office in Lone Tree, CO.

Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to help develop and enhance analytic capabilities in the organization. This position will partner with the business to develop insights that drive actionable outcomes and continue the development and maintenance of our Tableau dashboard reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Analytics – Identify opportunities to use data to help drive new strategies and improve business performance; utilize analytical techniques to produce outputs that can be used to tell the story and provide business recommendations; Help to create dynamic financial models that are streamlined and meet business requirements; Use critical thinking skills to independently plan and execute analysis
- Tableau Development and Administration – Develop dashboards and views that reflect business priorities; Maintain existing tableau reporting and optimize performance; Ensure tableau server structure and reporting is in line with best practices; Work with BI team to administer access and security on Tableau sever
- Financial data Management and Automation – Understand data structure of the organization and utilize data cleansing and blending tools to create sources for reporting platform; Identify data gaps and recommend data to be added to master sources; Partner with the business to facilitate new and existing solutions; Support process flow automation for various business partners in the organization
- Financial Reporting – Proactively and reactively provide financial reporting solutions for the business; Work with business to define financial reporting requirements and utilize business acumen to suggest best solutions: Recommend when financial reporting can be added to standardized reporting in Tableau & use automation techniques to streamline. Strategic financial reporting, monthly financial reporting, COGS, ad hoc financial reporting.
- IT Business Partnering – Work with IT to manage the finance departments major initiatives; Monitor progress and identify potential risks or opportunities as initiatives progress through the pipeline; Work closely with the global business intelligence team to identify and implement new solutions
Key Requirements
To add value to Cochlear in this role you’ll be able to meet and demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities in your application and at interview:
- Bachelors or Equivalent Work Experience
- 3-5 Years of Experience
- Demonstrated proficiency using data visualization tools (preferably Tableau)
- High proficiency using Microsoft Excel to build models and perform analysis
- Ability to tell the story”, with data and proven track record of presenting findings to management
- Experience extracting, transforming and loading data for analysis; Ability to automate repeatable processes to create efficiencies and reduce errors; Experience with Tableau Prep or Microsoft Power Query preferred but no required
- Strong business acumen with ability to understand operating models
- Ability to meet deadlines and re-prioritize as directed
- Knowledge of basic statistical analysis techniques.
- Basic knowledge of database principles a plus but not required

- Target Salary Range: $80,000 – $90,000 based upon experience, as well as an annual bonus opportunity of 7.5% of base salary
