A Data Scientist candidate for a Direct Hire opportunity with our client in Milwaukee, WI. Targeting candidates with 1-3 years of professional experience.
Our client leverages the power of data to help energy companies operate our distribution systems reliably and safely. They create energy forecasting tools and services focused on the needs of companies distributing all forms of energy to end users. They are are a company of data scientists, software developers, researchers, and other professionals who love helping the energy industry anticipate the future.

Our client plans to hire a new full-time Data Scientist to help their energy utility customers use their information to increase productivity, efficiency, and safety, and to support the client’s growing business in the energy forecasting industry
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Perform data collection, preprocessing, analysis, and model building to support our SaaS forecasting platform and analytical reports.
- Research and devise innovative statistical models and perform analysis to address our customers’ business problems.
- Prepare and present findings and analysis in reports and using data visualization
- Enhance, develop, and maintain internal data collection, preprocessing, analysis, model building, and report generation tools
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Software Engineering, or related field
- Work and/or school experience in Data Science commensurate to the level of position
- Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis; understanding of machine [1] learning and operations research
- Experience working with Python, SQL, MATLAB, and Excel preferred
- Able to perform duties independently and with a high level of accuracy
