2. Job summary
This role defines and executes enterprise data architecture strategy and integration required to effectively and efficiently support organizational strategy. The role will task the incumbent to provide strategic direction in the development of the enterprise data strategy partnering across the enterprise to align with future-state business goals and objectives

8. Roles & Responsibilities
- Architectural expertise with big data distributed file systems such as Hadoop-Experience with other data technologies like HBase MongoDB Cassandra or NoSQL is preferred
- Expertise with latest technologies and frameworks such as MapReduce Pig Hive Kafka Sqoop Spark and Python
- 1. Build and maintain an information-sharing strategy for the organization and ensure it supports key enterprise initiatives and strategies such as enterprise application integration big data solutions. and pattern-based strategy
- 2. Design and execute on-premise data lake using big data technologies
- 3. Design build and maintain data engineering pipelines required for data analytics initiatives
- 4. Execute and drive data governance metadata management data quality initiatives
- 5. Provide technical and architectural direction to enterprise projects that improves overall product quality and maximizes utilization of project resources
- 6. Support and provide required architectural direction to Machine Learning initiatives
- 7. Maintain reference architecture specific to architectural governance and application roadmap.
- 8. Manage the architectural data governance tools and process on behalf of the department.
- 9. Prepare conceptual and logical subject area models and implementation-level details that affect the continuum of disciplines involved in the architecture design implementation and management of enterprise data.
- 10. Develop a gap plan between the current and future state data architectures and coordinate with fellow enterprise architects to develop road maps for orderly transition to the future state.
- 11. Lead efforts to improve business performance through enterprise information solutions and capabilities such as but not limited to: master data management (MDM) metadata management business intelligence (BI) content management data integration information lifecycle management and related information management or information infrastructure components.
The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
