Job Location: Irvine, CA
Digital Labs Strategic Media Data Analyst are hands-on contributors to our projects leveraging data, technology, and strategic buying platforms to extend our clients’ portfolios. Media Analysts work closely with the Strategic Lead and the Salesforce Datorama Project Manager as well as with technical and non-technical team members; managing complex, enterprise and strategic technical projects. Salesforce Datorama Business Analysts are subject matter experts who actively participate in the gathering, documentation and sign off of business requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluating business objectives and challenges, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
- Collecting, analyzing and documenting detailed business requirements.
- Creating recommendations and use cases based on business goals and requirements. Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
- Evaluate data quality and identify data gaps based on business use cases.
- Synthesize data
- Continue to build out the data catalog using Alation to mature advanced analytics and AI
- Democratize data among the broad mix of internal and external data and multiple user personas
- Derive and communicate data insights
- Leverage Alation to support MABI center goals to expand advanced data analytics and insights
- Enable client to Find, understand and govern data
- Support client to drive analysts productivity
- Translating business concepts and requirements to technical teams for implementation. Guiding the technical teams through challenges.
- Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
- Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders
- Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- Working closely with clients, project team members and stakeholders
- Updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures.
- Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
- Managing competing resources and priorities.
- Ensuring that any issues which may impact objectives are brought forward and addressed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in business or related field or an MBA.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in client facing role business analysis or advertising, digital marketing, media analytics fields.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience of analyzing and documenting detailed business requirements
- Demonstrated capability of translating business concepts and requirements to technical teams.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (Datorama, PowerBI, Tableau, etc) is preferred.
- Experience with media performance reporting (Google, Facebook, DSP), web reporting (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics), or email campaign reporting (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign) is a huge plus.
- Fundamental knowledge of digital marketing strategies and media strategies. Understanding key terminology in digital marketing, MarTech, and paid media.
- Experience creating reports and presentations.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with working with offshore teams
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with direct customers and internal teams
- Excellent communication, problem-solving skills
