ABOUT THE POSITION

Columbia Sportswear’s dynamic global supply chain consists of 4 distribution centers, 430 retail stores, 80 apparel factories and 20 footwear factories worldwide. We pride ourselves on being able to get products to market quickly, safely, and in the most cost-effective manner. By leveraging data analytics, we are constantly pushing to make smarter business decisions and identifying innovative ways to make Columbia Sportswear’s supply chain more efficient and effective to meet our consumers’ ever-changing needs.

As the Supply Chain Business Process Analyst you will be responsible for guiding process improvement to reduce cost and complexity across the organization. You will represent Global Supply Chain and collaborate and operate cross-functionally to impact the long-range objectives of process and systems to enable projects and initiatives. You’ll be responsible for understanding and coordinating both current and future state business process documents. Key to your success will be the development of strong stakeholder partnerships. These partnerships will facilitate an understanding of Supply Chain business needs and requirements. You will be the business liaison for key enterprise stakeholders to enable the design, testing and implementation of system/technical solutions.


HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

    • Coordinate activities in the project life cycle, including supporting definition of objectives and scope, plan development, task definition, coordinating and meeting with stakeholders and participants, monitoring progress, driving progress through to completion, status reporting, and project documentation.
    • Participate in cross functional interview sessions to gather and elicit information from functional managers and their staff on Supply Chain processes and opportunities for improvement. Distinguish user requests from user needs.
    • Be a visible business advocate, representing and influencing business requirements and interests across the Supply Chain functions.
    • Establish analytics, metrics, support and coordination for internal business usage.
    • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with a diverse group of business stakeholders, gaining an in-depth understanding of the business, to support the prioritization and delivery of solutions.
    • Perform gap analysis to evaluate scope and impact of current and future models; propose and enable functional and technical solutions.
    • Identify and coordinate business process flows, functional and reporting requirements, as well as risks and controls in a clear manner that is comprehensible to the project teams.
    • Work with the Project Management Office to ensure project deliverables are identified and implemented for the Supply Chain functional areas.
    • Drive cross functional teams to develop, test and implement functional and/or technical solutions to achieve the desired end state.
    • Partner with Supply Chain Analytics to ensure that end-user reporting requirements are captured, and internal reporting tools are validated on the finished product.


YOU ARE

    • An excellent communicator who has strong interpersonal skills

    • Able to multi-task, prioritize essential tasks and meet deadlines


YOU HAVE

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    • 3-5+ years of professional experience and strong competency with various tools (i.e. Visio, Azure Dev Ops, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite), systems, or procedures required to accomplish the job
  • 2-3 years of experience in Project implementation (including testing, cutover, validation and production support) desired
    • Knowledge and experience with operations excellence concepts and tools such as value stream mapping, business process re-design, six sigma green belt, lean thinking and organizational change management. Certification is a plus
    • Strong knowledge of principles, concepts, and theories within Supply Chain and the ability to train & develop other team members on this knowledge
