Job Title: Data Engineer
Job Location: 205 Crosspoint Pkwy, Getzville, NY 14068. This position is entirely remote and can be performed from anywhere within the US.
Job Duties: Responsible for delivering data management and integration solutions for enterprise BI projects, as well as the design and implementation of a data warehouse for the organization, incorporating data from multiple source systems. Specifically, the Data Engineer will be responsible for the following:
- Leading the design of the technical and information architecture for the data warehouse, including all information structures (staging area, data warehouse, data marts, and operational data stores).
- Participating in the workstream planning process including inception, technical design, development, testing, and delivery of end-to-end BI solutions.
- Designing, developing, testing, monitoring, managing, and validating data warehouse activity, including data extraction, transformation, movement, loading, cleansing and updating processes.
- Designing & implementing relational and multidimensional databases, data marts, data warehouses and cubes to be used for analysis of business performance.
- Evaluating and recommending processes and tools for modeling the company’s data.
- Establishing standards for enterprise data through methods such as Master Data Management.
- Collaborating with BI team by delivering accurate & reliable data on a timely basis to support their development of reports, visualizations and dashboards.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering. Five (5) years of experience as a Data Engineer or BI Developer. Must have experience with Azure Environment, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL.
