Job Description

Job Summary

The Commercial Operations team brings data to life with insightful reports and analytics. The Commercial Operations team plays a highly collaborative consultative role with our marketing partners, broader XGIE teams, and divisional stakeholders. The team specializes in performance reporting and analytics. There are many opportunities to learn the business and dig into the data.

The team is looking for a hands-on analyst who can leverage Comcast’s abundant data assets to become a trusted partner and solve complex problems. The analyst will be responsible for performance reporting, opportunity sizing, short-term forecasting, and scenario planning for various strategic initiatives with a primary focus on movers. This will entail developing and maintaining standard reports as well as performing ad-hoc analyses. Leveraging this reporting tied to Comcast’s strategic goals will ensure alignment and pinpoint areas of opportunity and risk.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

Promote and evangelize a culture of excellence, data driven discussions, healthy skepticism, intellectual curiosity, knowledge sharing, and teamwork, while maintaining an environment that is upbeat and fun

Attention to detail and ability to effectively manage competing priorities (multiple analyses) through planned and ad-hoc requests

General understanding and knowledge of SQL for data aggregation

Experience with business intelligence tools; Tableau experience a plus

Synthesize actionable insights by joining together large data sets from across the company, and applying appropriate analytical techniques

Communicate findings clearly and concisely through narrative-driven presentations and effective data visualizations to Comcast executives and decision makers; ability to “tell the story”

Participates in multiple cross functional projects by providing data analysis to project leaders

Other Competencies

Incorporate business acumen into analytical work: make the right assumptions, control for the right variables, and interpret results from the perspective of the business stakeholders

Communicate and collaborate effectively with teammates and business stakeholders

Skilled in identifying data issues and anomalies during analysis

Business acumen & aptitude for analytics that incite action

Willing to learn other analytical tools such as Python

Develop testable hypotheses for key business questions raised by partners to ensure that all important questions are addressed fully, appropriately, and accurately

Education

Bachelor’s Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.

Relevant Work Experience
