RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Responsible for data quality in maintain various databases including RiskInSite and monthly management reporting.
- Identify, initiate and manage actions to mitigate risks and to strengthen controls, including issues identified through audits and other external processes.
- Responsible for the effective design of controls for all new and changing processes and operations, and support the business through the implementation.
- Manage root cause analysis of issues and incidents, identifying and implementing control improvements.
- Identify, lead and manage the continuous improvement of the business control environment by using data to generate insights and reports.
- Responsible for the design and implementation support the business to design and implement controls to enable better risk and compliance outcomes.
- Work effectively with Line 2 colleagues to determine optimal course of action to remediate any significant data integrity issues within the BU.
- Responsible for ensuring the correct risk and controls overlay the end to end process mapping and documentation management to support the control process.
- Responsible for ensuring risks are profiled and captured in the Risk Profile RCSA and updated when risk trigger events occur.
- Contribute to a proactive risk and control culture and collaborate with the business.
- Conduct RCSA, Thematic reviews for Data Analytics teams.
- Carry out investigations and analyses and gather data in order to identify the internal and external risks to which the enterprise is exposed
- Providing advice and recommendations to senior management on a range of risk management-related issues
- Writing periodic reports for management and providing advice and recommendations on risk management-related issues
- Issue lifecycle activities review – assisting in the review of issue acceptance, closure and opening documents
- Trained experience on Data analytics tool, DART, Power BI, SQL etc. would be a add on
- Contribute to a proactive risk and control culture

PEOPLE KNOWLEDGE
- Directly supervise or coordinate the work of others in a discrete section/small team.
- Manage the performance cycle of the Reportee and be a career counsellor.
- Coaches inexperienced team members and provides first level advice on procedures/work methods, for those who may be at the same level
- Thorough working knowledge of one functional area through significant job experience and training
- Sufficient experience or specialized knowledge to allow application/modification of existing methods and systems on own initiative in line with business context.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, economics, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or related subjects
- 5 + years’ experience in banking/financial services/other relevant experience, and/or
- Minimum 3 + years’ experience in Data and Operations Risk management roles.
