Business Analyst – Remote
Position Summary:
The Business Analyst will act as the subject matter expert (SME) in Impact and Fund reporting and analysis. Primary responsibility includes driving monthly Fund Impact and Investor Reporting processes to collect and verify impact data on products and programs that result in social impact. The Business Analyst synthesizes financial, or other operational data sets to perform analyses to support business-case development and ongoing regulatory compliance. Develops, analyzes, tests, modifies, standardizes, and documents data preparation, data validation, data model, data storage, and data automation processes related to Business . Develops and proposes improvements, changes to existing tools and platforms. Troubleshoots complex issues and manages issue resolution.
Responsibilities:
Analysis and Business (50%)
Work closely with Business Units, Community Advancement, Marketing, and Chief Impact Officer to effectively manage processes associated with the collection of data and reporting for impact analysis and fund reporting, etc. The position will be responsible for the following:
- Serve as primary resource for impact data requests
- Creates and maintains appropriate documentation to support grant performance and expenses in partnership with Finance and Internal Audit Departments
- Design and Oversee submission of complex related surveys including financial, impact, and employee detailed information
- Review reports for accuracy and timeliness, provide insightful analysis, and explain reporting results
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure that reports meet the business and/or regulatory requirements
- Monitor compliance with established production cycle SLAs
- Maintain Job Aids and Operational Procedures in support of the reporting process
- Provide ad hoc impact stats across the board for many different audiences and requests from different individuals Impact stats vary on content and request based on audience – important that we have all information collected in order to “slice and dice” the data as necessary
Business Processes Management (30%)
Act as system owner of Community Impact Data Tracking and Management and BDO Commission Payment Systems as other end user computing systems as needed. Duties to include:
- Manage multiple systems and information flow to meet the expectations and needs of customers, both internal and external
- Gather business requirements and developing reports, responsible for ensuring data integrity is maintained in accordance with organizational business rules
- Work with business stakeholders and end users to gather, refine and finalize requirements for report development
- Formulate report designs, create prototypes and lead review sessions with peers and business users
- Sit on DGN Committee and provide input on creation of new Community Impact Data Base
- Deliver results to stakeholders as required according to published SLAs
Internal/External Communication (10%)
- Assist or prepare written reports and recommendations for presentation to management.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with CRF staff, auditors, lending partners, borrowers and others as required, resulting in coordinated and consistent interaction with others.
- Ability to work cooperatively with a varied group of individuals to make the work of the group successful and effective
- Provide strong customer service with firmness and professionalism, reflecting CRF’s mission.
Miscellaneous (10%)
- Support Special Projects and CRF events as needed
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with CRF officers, management and staff.
General Computer Literacy
Be familiar with and a willingness to work with all computer technology. Understand computer hardware, the abilities and limitations of computer software packages and how to within those limits. Intermediate level proficiency and experience with the Internet, using the intranet for prospecting research, computerized data bases for managing client relationships, and virtual meeting software. Must possess an intermediate knowledge of Excel and have proficiency with other Microsoft products, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook.
Your Background/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- Review reports for accuracy and timeliness, provide insightful analysis, and explain reporting results
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure that reports meet the business and/or regulatory requirements
- Monitor compliance with established production cycle SLAs
- Strong knowledge of database concepts and queries is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft software; including but not limited to Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and through written forms of communication
