Job Detail:
Reporting to the Manager, Internal Audit, in this you will help develop, maintain, and govern the department’s data and analytics capabilities to support Internal Audit analytics and the execution of audit projects. Additionally, you will help execute tactical objectives, analytic visualizations, and automation while working with partners throughout the business to grow and share analytical capabilities.
Position Responsibilities
- Work with Internal Audit and cross-functional business partners to understand the department’s analytic capabilities and needs
- Develop and expand the use of analytics across the Internal Audit lifecycle while evolving strategies to champion data analytics from risk assessment through audit reporting.
- Work with the IT Technology teams to identify and connect to key business data sources across various business units and systems.
- Identify data owners or stakeholders and establish key relationships to obtain quality and accurate data for audit execution.
- Develop and maintain innovative and repeatable data analytics processes, tools, and techniques to provide real-time audit assurance, improve audit efficiencies, and drive auditor ‘self-service’
- Contribute to the design and development of continuous auditing and controls monitoring dashboards across multiple, disparate business areas.
- Research new industry tools and emerging technologies, which may offer improved functionality or a more efficient and effective ability to deliver audit analytics solutions.
- Help develop data analytic skills within the Internal Audit team by training, mentoring, and leading by example.
- Demonstrate general controls, project management, critical thinking, problem-solving, relationship building, and teamwork competencies.
Position Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience (preferably in an internal or external audit environment).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Data Science & Analytics, or another similar field.
- Previous experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing, Reporting, or Business Intelligence.
- Previous experience in data modeling and visualizations.
- Experiences with Agile project management methodologies
- Experience with PowerBI, Collibra, Alteryx, ACL, SQL, or other data, analytic, and intelligence tools.
