Looking for a world-class software engineering manager, DevOps, to lead a team working on infrastructure projects and maintaining sophisticated tools that improve development workflow and overall efficiency.
DevOps plays an integral role throughout the software development lifecycle increasing uptime, reducing opportunities for human error, and ultimately increasing customer satisfaction.
The DevOps team ensures that technology is released in an efficient manner from development to production. DevOps team establishes processes and procedures and develops tools that are used by both the development and infrastructure teams in both a development and operations capacity. The team is responsible for establishing and maintaining the tools that are leveraged in facilitating DevOps processes and automation. As a DevOps Manager, you will use your expert technical ability to facilitate these capabilities across many different technologies and teams.
This position is for a DevOps manager who will be supporting our CI/CD Infrastructure and other configuration management activities. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to :
– A solid understanding, of the value, of adopting DevOps practices is crucial. You should have passion and ability to communicate the value proposition and possess a desire to evangelize DevOps
– Leading by example and keeping enthusiasm high in tight-deadline situations
– You will mentor and lead a team of talented DevOps engineers who design and implement applications and complex CI/CD tools and workflows using state of the art technologies
– Collaborate with the software development team to improve build time, CI/CD, efficient deployment
– Communicate clearly and openly with internal and external stakeholders regarding progress, roadblocks, and timelines
– Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify risks, solve problems, and maintain progress
– Oversee technical scoping and design of projects to ensure that projects deliver the expected value on time and with high quality
– Help improve the quality of our existing infrastructure by implementing automated monitoring and recovery systems for new and existing services
– Provide direction to other team members regarding the solutions and processes that can be used to implement DevOps consistently across the enterprise. Participate in the design, documentation, and implementation of DevOps solutions
Required Skills/Qualifications :
– Excellent verbal & written communication, interpersonal skills
– Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
– 3+ years of people management and leadership experience especially managing DevOps
– 6+ years’ work experience in software development or DevOps engineering
– Ability to take initiatives and drive them across multiple functional teams Drive for interacting with a wide variety of teams and people to move the company as a whole forward
– Experience with public cloud-like AWS/Azure/GCP
– Experience with container technology like Docker and Kubernetes
– Experience of configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
– Expertise with code management tools like Git, GitHub, RTC, Bitbucket, AZ DevOps
– Expertise in implementation of CI/CD with tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, Selenium, dotCover
