Continental Finance Company specializes in credit card options for those consumers with less than perfect credit. We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support our Fintech Services team.
The Business Systems Analyst is a member of an agile development team that delivers software products and services to internal stakeholders and external customers. The Business Systems Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring that the needs of the business and customers are captured and conveyed to the development team as part of our agile process.
***CFC offers a hybrid work schedule which includes three (3) core days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two (2) remote workdays (Monday and Friday)***
Essential Functions:
- Engage with the business and product owners to gather and analyze requirements to define solutions that deliver outstanding value to our customers.
- Work closely with the development team and QA analysts to ensure solutions being delivered meet the needs of the business and our customers.
- Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and wireframes that effectively communicate requirements to the rest of the development team.
- Work with UI/UX to develop accurate mockups as necessary.
- Participate in sprint rituals such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives. Play an active role in the continuous improvement of our software delivery processes.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Strong understanding of agile principles.
- Experience working as part of an integrated software development team in an agile methodology.
- Experience as a business analyst working on both customer-facing web applications and internal business applications.
- Experience writing clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tool for managing user stories and sprints.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Able to interpret business needs into projects.
