Position Purpose: Position will plan and lead audit projects, develop audit programs, work directly with the business area being audited, complete audit testing, review staff work papers, and prepare necessary reports. Develops and completes data analytic procedures including coding, and business logic used to analyze large populations of data.
Facilitates audit planning and develop the audit program for assigned internal audit projects.
Independently interviews business owners and obtain audit evidence.
Completes audit testing, documentation, and reporting in a timely manner and in accordance with Audit Methodology.
Performs detailed review of staff work and provide feedback.
Reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of corrective action plans that address audit reporting findings, and track the status of all action plans to completion.
Educates business owners on compliance requirements and responsibilities.
Collaborates with Internal Audit management in preparing the annual risk assessment and audit plan.
Updates Internal Audit management regarding the status and budget of assigned audits.
Designs, performs, and documents data analysis procedures (i.e., business logic creation and coding the business logic) on populations of transactions to validate the adequacy and effectiveness of business processes, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
Assists with training department associates.
Assists in the completion of assigned tasks related to the data analytics program as needed which may include management reporting.
Facilitates audit planning and develops the audit program for assigned internal audit projects.
Independently performs interviews, document data processes, and obtains technical requirements from business owners.
Completes analytical procedures, documentation, and reporting in a timely manner and in accordance with departmental standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Decision Support, Data Science, or other closely related business field Required
3+ years of experience in Data analytics, data science or internal audit with data analytics
Audit Command Language (ACL), Arbutus, Structure Query Language (SQL), Statistical Analysis System (SAS), SQL Phython, Power BI and Tableau preferred.
