Covesting is looking for a Data Migration Systems Analyst to support ongoing customer and service data migrations. This role involves being the liaison between the production support and external partner teams to investigate, troubleshoot, document, resolve, and report on migration issues. Data migrations are scheduled twice weekly during regular nighttime maintenance windows. The goal is to increase the frequency of migrations to nightly as the processes and technologies stabilize.
Responsibilities:
- Assess impact and severity of customer and service data migration issues
- Engage SMEs to investigate migration issues, identify work arounds, and drive to resolution
- Maintain dashboards and update existing processes and playbooks
- Provide updates on the progress and timeframe for resolving migration issues
- Handle communications with internal/external partners on the status of issues
- Ensure stakeholders are informed of risks and issue status
- Drive and support cross functional issue resolution and critical problem management efforts
- Understand the data migration process, the applications involved, and end-to-end system flow
- Use Splunk logs to analyze and identify where issues are occurring and to triage problems
- Communicate with technical team in support of issue triage and follow through
- Summarize issues into business friendly language
- Work collaboratively with different teams and stakeholders
Required Skills:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience providing Tier 2 or 3 support within a service provider environment (Telco, Internet, Cable, or SaaS) – supporting external customer impacting commercial services
Strong understand for common service provider scenarios:- Account Creation
- Service Provisioning/Activation
- Recurring Customer Billing
- Monthly Usage / Service-based Rating
- Prior experience using system logs to troubleshoot technical issues and/or working with tools such as Splunk to identify system problems
- Ability to facilitate triage efforts, engage with technical and business teams, and translate technical issues into business impact
- Experience with Wireless MVNO / Wholesale business
- Experience with common Wireless Telco customer functions
- Prior experience working with Splunk
Compensation:
The estimated pay range for this position is USD <$145k (W2) <$80/hr (C2C) and is a Exempt role.
