Position Summary
Responsible for data analysis and reporting for Fleet Operations. Conducts regular analysis, designs reports and dashboards, and continually improves data collection procedures to assist Fleet Leadership, Asset Management, Mechanics, and supporting Business Areas in operating more efficiently and effectively. Develops and assists in tracking metrics for business processes. Collects, documents, and maintains business requirements for technology and business process driven projects or tasks. Also, responsible for system administration, implementation, troubleshooting, and enhancements of solutions for complex business needs. Supports established relationships with business counter-parts and becomes a credible partner, who seeks to understand business issues. Creates benchmarks and insights based on analytic techniques to address issues and improve financial and operational performance. Maintains processes to ensure data integrity. Provides back-up hardware support to garages.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Core responsibilities focus on operational/tactical aspects of the organization and some strategic focus
- Create, maintain and update Tableau dashboards, reports, Excel VBA scripts and presentations by integrating, cleaning, and transforming data and turning actionable insights into effective visualizations.
- Creates and reviews analytical/statistical reports and confers with management and users about format, distribution and purpose, and to identify problems and improvements.
- Some level of autonomy to manage projects independently and with little management oversight
- Queries data, performs analysis, and builds data visualization for operations
- Provides project management and analytical support for Telematics
- Completes multiple work assignments simultaneously, meeting deadlines under tight time constraints
- Fully developed in fundamental concepts, practices and procedures related to data management and reporting within business unit
- Maintains current knowledge of industry trends and technologies
- Provides financial and operational analytical support
- Assists users in resolving system design issues and maintenance concerns
- Creates processes to streamline collection of data
- Develops and conducts training classes
- Analyzes and troubleshoots application/system operations and provides timely resolution
- Maintains and enhances systems as required to support operations
- Develops, maintains and presents process guidelines
- Develops and administers databases to increase use of reports and dashboards
- Manages business plan initiatives
- Performs project and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborates with management in managing financial efficiency
- Project Management Lite Project Manager for Business Unit OT projects
- Performs other project and process improvement initiatives as assigned
Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or related field preferred
- Functional knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance and Work Management for Fleet
- Experience in supporting Fleet Operations and/or Telematics
- Proficient in SQL
- Strong Proficiency in Tableau
- Experience in Machine Learning
