Position Summary
Conducts, analysis, reports findings, designs reports and dashboards and continually improves data collection procedures, assist Safety Professionals, Occupational Health, leaders, and the organization as a whole in identifying safety risks and trends more efficiently and effectively. Develops and assists in tracking metrics for business processes. Collects, documents, and maintains business requirements for technology and business process driven projects or tasks. Supports established relationships with business counter-parts and becomes a credible partner, who seeks to understand business issues. Creates benchmarks and insights based on analytic techniques to address issues and improve financial and operational performance.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Gathers and organizes information on work related injures and motor vehicle accidents.
- Analyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding.
- Confers with personnel concerned to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures.
- Creates and reviews analytical/statistical reports and confers with management and users about format, distribution and purpose, and to identify problems and improvements.
- Creates, maintains and update dashboards, reports, and presentations by integrating, cleaning, and transforming data and turning actionable insights into effective visualizations.
- Conducts on-site observation and personnel interviews to determine work-flow processes and needs.
- Prepares manuals and trains workers in use of new forms, reports, procedures or equipment, according to organizational policy.
- Designs, evaluates, recommends and approves changes of forms and reports.
- Plans study of work problems and procedures, such as organizational change, communications, information flow, integrated production methods, or cost analysis.
- Plans and facilitates meetings and communications.
- Communicates effectively in writing in response to periodic internal and/or external customer correspondence.
- Provides business costs and/or operations analysis.
- Develops methods for communicating metrics and key performance indicators to all business unit areas regularly and either with or without automation and contributes to efforts in providing appropriate detail on improvements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and passion, for Occupational Health & Safety in the workplace
- Extensive experience in Microsoft Excel
- Strong proficiency in Tableau
- Understanding of relational databases
- Proficient in SQL
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, or Economics
