Join us as a Senior Data Analyst (Assistant Vice President), where you will act as Pune on-site manager and key liaison with the wider APAC Compliance Data Science & Analytics team in providing Data Analytics support to the Asia-Pacific Compliance department as a whole.
Your responsibilities will include
- Use Data Analytics to identify Compliance risks and root causes
- Present impactful data and analytics to management and other relevant business partners
- Design Proof-of-Concept solutions, and once accepted work with IT teams to implement them
- Serve as internal specialist in data sources, methodologies and data interpretation of constraints present in the business environment
- Innovate new ways of presenting Data Analytics to business partners with more impact

The APAC Compliance Data Science & Analytics team has members physically located across the Asia-Pacific region (Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, India, etc.) and supports the APAC Compliance department in the following key areas.
Rapid Response: Perform time-critical & mission-critical data analysis to rapidly uncover emerging risks, so that appropriate remedial measures can be taken
Innovation: Design strategic and tactical solutions to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the department
Training: Equip Compliance officers with data analytical skills, as part of a transformative journey to a data driven Compliance organization

Your skills and experience
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences
- At least 7 years of working experience, preferably in the financial industry
- At least 2 years of experience managing a team
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering
- At least 3 years of working experience using Python or R
- Experience with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
- Proven ability in business analysis
- Experience with databases (Oracle, SQL Server) highly desirable
- Can balance multiple tasks and work under pressure
