Your responsibilities include:
- Perform engineering tasks to improve Developer Experience
- Design, Develop and Test a wide range of Developer Tools and APIs
- Own and handle large scale build farms across private and public clouds
- Own and run various distributed systems and solve meaningful & complex problems around scalability & latency
- Evangelize and drive adoption of software engineering best-practices in Continuous Delivery, Containerization, Infrastructure provisioning, code health, quality, stability and maintainability
- Your solid understanding of the cloud engineering skills, outstanding interpersonal skills, diligent, thorough nature and solid grasp of the banking processes will help convince our business to follow your product vision, but also to ensure that the Cloud engineering team does the same and delivers the system in line with your vision and business partner’s expectations
- Part of global experts that will design first version of large scale Finance Data Platform on cloud

The FSG Architecture team has global presence working on large-scale strategic-initiatives and global projects as well as innovation driven smaller projects and technical consultancy. It is staffed by a team of highly technical and analytical individuals with prior experience in operational and engineering functions across many industry sectors and a maintaining a strong client focus. By the very nature of the role they perform, they have built extensive networks across all areas of IT and have solid grasp of firm’s business.
The FSG Cloud Engineering Team is responsible to make Cloud Developers in FSG IT organization Productive & Happy by providing developer tools and automation capabilities. The team’s mission is to optimize Developer’s inner and outer loop. This is a strong engineering team, which follow Software Engineering practices like clean code, high degree of test automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, Continuous Delivery. This is a self-organizing team which truly believe and practice in the “you build it, you run it” approach! The team deeply care for bringing values to the customers i.e., the developer community.

Your skills and experience
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- At least 2+ years as an IT professional with willingness to learn new technologies very quickly
- Develop intuitive and maintainable scripts or software components that address the needs of the business, typically in the areas of automation
- Maintain, update, and/or enhance software applications regularly to meet new requirements
- Review, analyse, test, and launch applications on cloud platforms
- Troubleshoot coding issues promptly to minimise impact to business operations
- Continuously improve/enhance software development processes or life-cycle
- Strong programming skills or knowledge of data structures using SQL and Python
- Highly proficient in Python as backend programming language
- Extensive knowledge of Pandas, Django, Pytest python libraries
- Experience with Public Cloud (Azure) is a plus
- Knowledge of Hadoop, spark, or impala is advantageous
