Job Location: Pune
As part of the Group Chief Data Office (CDO) function this role is in the team that performs the core Group CDO 2nd Line of Defence (2LoD) controls. The role will require positive relationship with the Group CDO Data Governance, Data Architecture, Data Quality and Data Risk & Control Framework teams to implement a comprehensive set of exception based Data Management oversight controls.
Collaborating with the local team lead you will be part of a team tasked with ensuring discipline over the completeness, accuracy, and quality of all material meta-data that divisions and functions have under governance. You will be responsible for identifying and resolving exceptions by:
- Crafting and build data visualization dashboard and metrics views in BI tools with focus on usability and simplicity
- Quality Assurance, Testing and deployment along with Jira and confluence documentation and functional support for releases
- Building out data sourcing pipelines to consume, standardize, aggregate and link data across a variety of data sources
In doing so, you will support the performance of Group CDO 2LoD quality assurance reviews of the divisional and functional 1st Line of Defence key controls.
You will require to become familiar with the Group CDO Policies, Standards, Frameworks, IT Tooling and data in order to build key report control metrics.

Group CDO is a team of specialists to facilitate the oversight of data strategy and data management plans across the whole of Credit Suisse Group. The function comprises of Group Data Governance, Group Data Quality & Control, Group Data Strategy & Architecture, Group Data Usage & Analytics, Group Data Risk & Control Framework, Group Domain Oversight and Group CDO Execution Board. These areas will coordinate and support Divisional and Functional CDOs in the execution of data management.

Your skills and experience
The right candidate will bring deep technical experience in data processing (querying, aggregation, data pipelines) and an eye for building succinct data visualizations to produce innovative solutions.
- Degree in Computer Science or in a similar field is essential
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer/ Analyst / BI Developer
- Expert in using SQL queries and applying it on BigData platforms such as Impala and Hive to extract data from HDFS tables using joins/aggregation
- Hands-on expertise building visualization and reporting with leading analytics tools -Qlik or Tableau
- Ability to interpret data across sources into distinct themes and trends for succinct visualizations
- Prior experience with data mining and establishing data processing pipelines. Familiarity with Python for data munging and cleansing
- Proven work experience in an Agile development environment using DevOps practices
- Comfortable working in a fast paced environment under tight timeframes
- Hardworking, result oriented with good analytical and problem solving skills
- Eager to learn new technologies
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives.
Desirable:
- Domain expertise in one of the following areas – Private Banking, Risk, Compliance or Finance.
- Knowledge around Machine Learning and Natural Language processing is a plus
- Hands-on experience with HTML5 related UI technologies such as React is a plus
