Position Description
Our high performing team is looking for a motivated Data Quality Team Lead who is responsible for managing a team of data quality analysts, business analysts, and software developers in implementing, operating, and maintaining a Data Quality Management service for a unique data related project. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment bringing advanced data analytics using artificial intelligence and machine learning to support the Intelligence Community mission. Your future duties and responsibilities
- Lead collaboration to establish the vision for best approach to data quality verification and validation.
- Lead the development and implementation of a custom Data Quality Management service; lead team in ensuring quality control and quality assurance.
- Lead the design, implementation, and execution of data quality checks; direct data quality analysis; manage the creation and execution of test plans.
- Guide the development of business and functional requirement documents.
- Conduct project management and tracking; meet regularly with scrum master; create project roadmaps, team milestones, and track project through software development life cycle.
- Coordinate quality assurance tests to ensure data integrity, quality of system changes, and report development.
- Meet regularly with data quality team, stakeholders, and product owners to assure specifications are understood, documented, and appropriately prioritized.
- Collaborate with other program teams to ensure understanding of key drivers for data improvements and data quality analysis.
- Assist in providing recommendations and best practices for data definitions, business rule writing, and metadata management procedures.
- Report key data quality metrics and results.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience leading IT related projects.
- Experience with Agile, Confluence, Jira or similar tools required. AWS, SQL, Python, and Java is a plus.
- Experience working with data quality tools and reporting toolsets, including rule development, testing, issue tracking, reporting and data quality dashboard design.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle.
- Self-starter with the ability to seek out new problems and develop solutions, while having strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis and communicate recommendation to resolve; switch quickly between details and the big picture.
