Job Summary

Location: Any CSI Office, Open to discussion

As part of this initiative, we are looking for a Power BI Developer focused on the development and deployment of Power BI company-wide. The Power BI Developer will be strategically focused on helping those throughout the company better understand and visualize our data to make more informed decisions. As a Power BI Developer, you will be using your Power BI expertise and experience to support our insights and analytics strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create/maintain dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI
  • Convert business requirements into technical specifications
  • Build data sets using Industry best practices that transform raw data into meaningful insights
  • Understanding and experience with the creation and maintenance of dataflows in Power BI
  • Design and develop Power BI scripts and perform detailed analytics
  • Perform DAX queries and functions within Power BI
  • Stay up-to-date with new enhancements within Power BI
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues within Power BI as needed
  • Ability to communicate insights from data to others throughout the organization
  • Consulting with BI leaders on best practices as it relates to Power BI service administration
  • Prioritization and organization of assigned projects
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

PRIMARY RESULTS ACCOUNTABLE FOR ACHIEVING

  • Detailed reports that track and display key business metrics.
  • Self-service tools, analytics, or other means that assist teams in their functional activities.
  • A fully implemented and up-to-date system environment that is monitored and evaluated from data ingestion through report consumption.
  • Fully developed, data-rich, near real-time dashboards and reports to support and assist various business units and senior management in their decision-making and metric tracking.
  • Timely, accurate results for stakeholders.
  • The development, execution, and accuracy of company-wide reporting.

JOB REQUIREMENTS Education & Certifications:

Education or job knowledge equivalent to a college or university undergraduate education.

MS Power BI Certifications are preferred.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of Power BI Development Experience is preferred.
  • Experience and understanding of DAX and M code (knowledge of other programming languages like R and Python are a plus)
  • Power BI Performance tuning is preferred.
  • Experience with database management, SQL querying, data modeling, data warehousing, and business intelligence are preferred
  • Knowledge and Experience in Microsoft BI stacks preferred Required Skills:

    RELATIONSHIP BUILDING

    This position requires regular contact both inside and/or outside the company.

    DECISION MAKING

    This position requires frequent decision-making and the ability to plan and perform unusual or difficult work with general operation methods/procedures.

    SUPERVISION RECEIVED

    Full Direction. Participates in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Plans, schedules, and arranges own activity. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

    Physical Demands

    The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear, and use hands to finger, handle or feel. This position requires close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) and the basic need to look at a computer screen 8 hours a day.
