Overview:

The Business Intelligence Developer will play a critical role in shaping the future data platform to support the insights and analytics and digital strategy for the company. This position will have proven experience aligning with the business and with both a data-centric and customer-focused mind-set. Proven experience developing dashboards and capabilities that contribute to the evolution of CubeSmart’s business intelligence and data storage platforms will be key. In addition, experience developing new technology innovations including mobile applications and customer facing applications a plus.

Responsibilities:

This position will have proven experience aligning with the business and with both a data-centric and customer-focused mind-set. Proven experience developing dashboards and capabilities that contribute to the evolution of CubeSmart’s business intelligence and data storage platforms will be key. In addition, experience developing new technology innovations including mobile applications and customer facing applications a plus.

This teammate is expected to apply leading edge visual data practices to solve business challenges and contribute to a culture of high performance, urgency, and productivity.

  • Engage closely with key business stakeholders to understand and develop automation to support business and customer requirements.
  • Perform data model design and implementation to support business needs
  • Design, develop and refine guided models, and visualizations
  • Design, support, and enhance existing and future data application logic and queries
  • Participate in strategic direction regarding future data warehouse architecture and practices
  • Participate in insights and analytics strategy and plans in support of business and customer requirements
  • Experience with cloud computing, middleware, and ETL tools
  • Service oriented teammate who possesses a true 24×7 support and service mentality

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent related technical field
  • 5+ years experience data intelligence platforms and solutions including QlikView, QlikSense or equivalent tool set
  • Strong data analysis skills and proven experience in developing BI solutions to meet business requirements
  • Proven experience with database and data warehouse concepts, including building dataset, data modelling, as well as top-down and bottom-up database design
  • Strong database programming skills, in particular with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with portal applications and delivery of dashboard solutions
  • Proven experience and track record in delivering complex data warehouse and business intelligence projects
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively convey complex information
  • Strong business process knowledge and application of technology solutions
