Qualifications
This is an exciting opportunity for Industrial Engineers โ Seniors, Manufacturing #IN989 in Columbus, Indiana and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
- Assess and apply new solution designs against defined architecture strategies, principles, policies and standards in align with the enterprise architecture strategies.
- Define new analytic architecture solutions where needs are identified, and drive changes back to the enterprise where current enterprise strategies and principles do not meet needs.
- Define complex application and solution designs for specific systems in coordination with project teams.
- Define component breakdown of the system, perform functional allocation to the components, establish interfaces between systems and among system components.
- Develop standards for the Data Science and Data Engineering functions and define design patterns and configurations that can be reused as building blocks for other solutions.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand requested capabilities and provide the right solutions.
- Perform complex cost/benefit analysis when researching future state capabilities, and lead and facilitate the creation of governing principles to manage change and guide solution designs for the enterprise.
- Audit the Analytics solution design to ensure compliance with architectural patterns and standards.
- Monitor architecture solution performance and prevent performance issues when introducing new capabilities on the system.
- Collaborate with Analytics stakeholders, including Functional Excellence, to apply Analytics strategy to architecture future state architecture and develop roadmaps to realize future state.
- Maintain knowledge of emerging Data Engineering and Data Science technology and focused on driving comparative advantage for Analytics globally.
- Define and develop architecture deliverables, artifacts, and building blocks (conceptual models, logical models, physical network designs, etc.) by applying architecture principles through the use of an architecture development framework and methodology that enables the organization to transform its systems in a controlled manner in response to business needs.
- Create and define the solution design complete with instrumentation and measurement, using industry standards and tools, version control, and build and test automation to synthesize diagrams, models and documentation in order to build a solution that meets buildability, business, technical, security, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Lead Project Issue and Risk Management to assess and prioritize issues.
- Apply Change Management process and tool set for engaging individuals and organizations through change to achieve and sustain business results and outcomes.
- Create solution designs and patterns using Cummins Technical Reference Model (CTRM), CLEAN standards, and existing reference patterns to maintain alignment to Cummins standards.
- Produce and plan a high-level, multi-year product and capability strategic roadmap utilizing internal and external business resource, asset and market knowledge and experience to communicate the organizationโs focus and priorities to key stakeholders.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications:
- Positions require a Masterโs degree in Computer, Data or Electronics Engineering, Computer or Data Science, or related field and 3 years of experience as a Data, Solution, or Analytics Analyst or Architect, or related position.
- Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelorโs degree in Computer, Data, or Electronics Engineering, Computer or Data Science, or related field and 6 years of experience as a Data, Solution, or Analytics Analyst or Architect, or related position.
JOB SITE: Columbus, Indiana and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S.
WORK HOURS: 40 hours/week – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience plus bonus.
