Curated is looking for a Business Intelligence specialist with experience in e-commerce, finance or related fields, capable of leveraging data to drive business decisions and strategies that affect how we incentivize users to shop, create content, refer others, and stay engaged with our platform. Some of the key responsibilities and tasks include:
Data Collection and Business Acumen
- Be well versed in navigating, adjusting, and graphing data via a BI platform: Looker, Tableau and/or PowerBI.
- Query to our database in SQL to obtain data that is not yet in our BI platform (Looker)
- Understand the data queried and gut-check its accuracy. Does the data make “business sense”?
Data Analysis
- Analyze customer data to understand purchasing behavior, preferences, and trends.
- Be comfortable creating reports that shed light on a problem the group is looking into.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the performance of initiatives.
- Be a pro at Excel/Google Sheets.
Communication of the story behind the data
- Be a clear and precise communicator
- Present weekly data reports and dashboards to management, being able to go several layers deeper to provide more color.
Team and Thought Leader
- Lead a team of data analysts and BI specialists, prioritizing their work and pushing them to perform.
- Cultivate a culture of data-driven decision-making.
- Be curious and a self-starter.
- Be an owner of your work and take pride in it.
