Job Description Summary
The Role is for a multi skilled Technology Professional, ideally with a Commercial Real Estate background and knowledge of Technology Requirements, Solution Design and Implementation.
The candidate will need to be a UX, IU designer who is very fluent with user interfaces.
They will help drive the technology strategy and solutions to support business transformation and execute the Client’s initiatives.
The candidate will need the ability to undertake tactical activities to support delivery of a varied range of technology solutions for the business, including but not limited to Smartsheets, Quickbase, Protrac, Power BI, and Tableau.
Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and evaluate existing operations and new technologies to determine, recommend, and implement improvements to the customer journey including UX/UI
- Understand the business and information needs of business owners and translate those needs into BI/analytics/reporting requirements.
- Support the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, data mining, analyses, dashboards, PowerPoint presentations etc. that drive meaningful, timely, and actionable insights and can be easily interpreted by users
- Maintain appropriate documentation around solutions and systems – including assumptions, complex calculations, process and data flow diagrams, and other relevant information
- Research, study, and analyze system or process related issues/incidents as escalated and provide appropriate resolution(s)
- Recommend process improvement opportunities – document current state process and create future state process documentation
- Deliver proactive approach with each workgroup by function and geographic team with regard to business process re-engineering, internal control objectives, and best practices to address business needs, identify and solve problems, and enhance service levels
- Maintains and support databases, including inputting and correcting data, determining formats, researching data conversions, establishing data specifications, configuration/integration, updating sources and ensuring data integrity
- Schedule and coordinate application development and systems integration provided by outside service contractors
- Teach business users how to interact with the visualizations and interpret the results, and develop reference materials
- Develop and implement training programs and communication plans to improve user adoption and effectiveness of new and existing features
- Manage and support data analysis and data migration activities
- Support enterprise digital strategy and organization change
- Proactively monitor industry, functional and technology trends
- Position solutions and articulate their value based upon business user’s strategy, objectives, issues and direction
- Articulate value proposition to ensure the business impact of the solution is understood
- Coach employees to make use of technology and information
- Participate in and identify innovations and new technologies that could add value to business strategies
- Execute both short-term plans and long-term plans tied to vision and “big picture” goals
- Build and maintain customer relationships with key decision-makers and business or technology stakeholders
- Prepare presentation material for key stakeholders
- Co-ordination of users, meetings, workshops etc to enable requirements gathering to ensure maximum ROI and user adoption.
- Follow a defined Project Intake process, and develop business cases including solution, scope, cost and ROI/benefits
- Define set-up and execute test cases
- Support Project Delivery teams to a successful conclusion of approved projects
- Complete ad-hoc projects as required and manage smaller initiatives
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 4-year college degree in computer science, information technology/system or related field preferred
- Professional Corporate Experience, preferably a blend of experience across business operations and technology, including support of enterprise change management
- Strong working knowledge of multipe Business Intelligence tools
- ISEB/BCS in Business Analysis or equivalent (desirable)
- Comprehension of enterprise applications and business processes
- Ability to find solutions to business problems from data-driven insights
- Strong working knowledge of data management best practices and experience implementing and maintaining them
- Proven ability determining business needs and developing technical requirements
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and to draw valid conclusions
- Solid business judgment, collaboration, and critical thinking skills
- Must be able to be able to explain technical concepts and procedures to non-technical users
- Ability to map complex processes and business activities.
- Keen attention to detail
- Strategic mindset and ability to envision the end state and the milestone activities to achieve
