Job Location: Rhode Island
You will work on testing multiple components of the Data Forecast Mart and Computation Engine applications. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring that Underwriting Transformation Products are delivered of high quality and on time.
Your role is vital to ensure that testing requirements have been met before changes are put into production. This has a great impact on end users of these applications and the quality of service we provide to our internal customers.
What you will be doing:
- Participating in the full software development project lifecycle with emphasis on Quality Assurance activities in the proper implementation.
- Supporting the development of comprehensive test strategies, plans, reports, and environments for manual or automated testing for multiple IT projects in a release cycle.
- Understanding the complex software architecture and software design documents,
- Implementing the quality assurance strategy and planning, effort estimation, and software quality assurance risks assessment and mitigation.
- Executing test cases and validate results, meet deadlines, and provide first tier of triage for project defects found during test execution.
- Generating test reports that communicate test results, concerns, and project status with an emphasis on project risk, including defect rates, to the product management team.
- Collaborating with project stakeholders (PO, Business Owners, Dev partners etc.) to understand the requirements, business expectations, and coordination for defect tracking and management.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 75,000
Maximum: 167,000
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ Years’ experience in development of test strategy, test schedule, estimates, detailed test cases and execution to ensure adequate test coverage for projects following iterative agile/scrum methodologies.
- 3+ Years’ experience building UI / API / Backend test automation frameworks and implementing across large organizations.
- 2+ years’ hands-on experience with Python
- 2+ years’ SQL queries
- 5+ years’ experience in QA methodology and principles, tools, processes, and metrics.

Preferred Qualifications
- Quality Assurance experience of finance applications. Experience with insurance and pharmacy benefit management would be a plus.
- Prior software development experience.
- Experience with Azure Databricks.
- Experience with SOAP/REST API testing.
- Experience with Continuous Integration Environment (e.g., Jenkins, Git)
- Experience with CI/CD
- Strong experience with backend testing and automation
Education
Bachelorโs Degree in Computer Science, Applied Math, Operation Research, Statistics, Health Policy, or other related field, or Advanced Degree
