As a Senior Data Scientist within CVS Health, you will:
- Develop and/or uses algorithms and statistical predictive models and determines analytical approaches and modeling techniques to evaluate scenarios and potential future outcomes
- Perform analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve multiple and/or complex business problems utilizing advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses and broad knowledge of the organization and/or industry
- Collaborate with business partners to understand their problems and goals, develop predictive modeling, statistical analysis, data reports and performance metrics.
- Develop and participate in presentations and consultations to existing and prospective constituents on analytics results and solutions. Interact with internal and external peers and managers to exchange complex information related to areas of specialization.
- Use strong knowledge in algorithms and predictive models to investigate problems, detect patterns and recommend solutions
- Use strong programming skills to explore, examine and interpret large volumes of data in various forms
Preference is for this employee to work in current CVS Analytics hybrid work model being onsite 3 days, every other week (subject to change) in one of our Analytics Hubs (Chicago, IL OR Wellesley (Boston), MA), however work from home available for the right candidate.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 90,000
Maximum: 180,000
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience working as a Data Scientist
- Experience programming using Python
- Experience writing SQL Queries
- Experience in Cloud Technologies (Preferably GCP but open to Azure or AWS)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Data Engineering.
- Experience working with Equity data. Understanding of and interest in disparities relating to socioeconomic and structural factors such as income, education, location, race/ethnicity, gender identity, disability, etc.
- Experience working with Healthcare Data
- Ability to synthesize information from disparate data sources, evaluating suitability of data sources for specific use case.
- Able to use sound statistical knowledge related to linear and non-linear dimensionality reduction, analyzing latent constructs in data, structural equation models, partial least square regression.
- Cloud computation and distributive computing experience would be highly desirable
- Exposure to Teradata, and Hadoop.
- Experience leading analysis and initiatives with a track record of business impact.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to business partners.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline.
Master’s degree or PhD preferred
