As part of the Analytics & Behavior Change function, the Front Store Personalization team helps lead our mission to be a customer-centric, data-driven organization. This team aggressively tracks and helps grow CVS’ customer journeys through franchise by identifying opportunities and optimizing customer strategies derived by analyzing trends in customer shopping behavior, needs, intents, and responses. The team leverages advanced analytics, machine learning, and a hypothesis-driven approach to quickly transform data into actionable, customer-centric insights in fast-moving and energizing environment. We are looking for the best, the brightest and the most passionate analytics visionaries to join our team and help us deliver on this initiative.
The ideal candidate should be detailed oriented with the ability to quickly understand complex situations, manage multiple urgent tasks at the same time and have a proven track record of communicating in an open and honest way that quickly builds trust and respect.
This position can be full-time remote or based in one of our Analytics Hubs (Boston, NY, Chicago or RI) working 4 days a month onsite. This role will report to the Director of FS analytics with consistent exposure to senior leadership within Loyalty and Personalization and A&BC.
As the Senior Manager, you will:
- Manage a team of analytics professionals using established best practices
- Have familiarity with big data concepts. Ability to structure data analysis, driving analytics insights and analytical solutions to understand customer behaviors and insights
- Understand key drivers of business value and being able to translate into business opportunities and frame them as analytical problems. e.g., how to grow a business
- Possess the ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions
- Show a willingness to understand and probe into technical details
- Solve problems using analytics
- Collaborate with business partners to understand their strategy, problems, and goals
- Share insights across teams
- Present recommendations to senior staff and internal clients. Mentors junior team members. Autonomously leads the client relationship with senior business leaders as their single point of contact
- Resolve issues and remove barriers that hinder analytics initiatives
- Build contingency plans and execute corrective action on a timely basis to mitigate risks. Execute business area plans and priorities to meet goals by applying knowledge of business drivers, related areas and external market
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 95,000
Maximum: 209,000
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of people management experience
- 4+ years’ experience strategy consulting or on strategy teams in large companies
- 4 years of business experience leading analyses and initiatives with a track record of business impact
- Minimum 7 years total business experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of advanced analytics tools and languages to analyze large data sets from multiple data sources.
- Anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur.
- Retail and consumer behavior industry experience preferred
- Demonstrates a strong ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to business partners.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
Master’s degree in quantitative field or MBA strongly preferred.
