HEALTHCARE DATA ANALYST (Consulting)

Position Summary:

We are looking for a senior level Healthcare Data Analyst / Developer to support our Healthcare Data Analytics practice. This role is focused on developing, operating and evolving analytic, reporting and value-based reimbursement solutions in support of the various projects with our clients’ business strategies and operations. We are a management consulting practice working to deliver meaningful, data driven insights to our healthcare clients.

At CWH Advisors we work in teams. Each Healthcare Data Analytics project is assigned at least one lead Partner and a Healthcare Data Analyst. Additional team members may include Associate(s), other Consultants, Partners or Advisors. We take a collaborative approach in our work and strive to empower our team to make decisions that allow us to become our clients’ most valued and trusted advisor. Our approach is to deliver pragmatic, execution focused deliverables that leverage the insight of our team members who leverage their previous executive experience in healthcare to our engagements.

This role is ideal for someone with experience working with large datasets including healthcare data such as medical claims, clinical information, demographic data and program activity results.

Role Duties & Responsibilities:

The role involves taking the lead in managing data driven components of varying types of projects. The following are representative areas of responsibility:

  • Performing strategic direction for in-depth analysis of healthcare data to design, develop, and deliver analytic solutions; overseeing work of others as appropriate
  • Evaluating requirements for client projects, developing approaches to solving and building analytic solutions
  • Using Python and other languages to support the data science and, in some cases, ML/AI solutions desired by our clients
  • Using SAS Macros or their equivalents to create new variables to be incorporated into analytics
  • Performing and reviewing quality checks on incoming, outgoing and aggregated data in order to identify data anomalies
  • Advising internal project teams on influential findings, business insights and trends that allow the team to cohesively articulate project objectives and outcomes to our clients

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Biostatistics, Engineering, Epidemiology, Statistics, Information Technology, Economics or a closely related field.

Experience working with large datasets including healthcare data such as medical claims, clinical information, demographic data and program activity results.

Knowledge of industry standards and practices in descriptive/predictive analytics and reporting concepts.

Knowledge of statistical analyses including clinical and financial risk tracking, trend identification, predictive modeling exercises and opportunity assessments.

Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills, detail oriented.

Strong Communications skills for interactions with both internal teams as well as external clients.

Team oriented with a track record of working well with others to achieve common goals.

Positive professional attitude with a strong willingness to learn.

Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks.

Additional experience preferred:

Experience with Python and preferred experience in other programming languages, including: SAS, SQL, R. Power BI, Tableau experienced preferred.

Experience with machine learning: PySpark, H2O

Pay: $75,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
