Continuous Improvement Project Management Office (CI PMO) brings agility, structure and a CI mindset to DTNA. As a continuous improvement team, embedded under the CEO’s office, CI PMO offers services to help DTNA take the long view and achieve its key strategic success factors. Our department has a diverse array of CI skillsets for guiding and enabling business units to achieve high performance and cost efficiency; leading process optimization and strategy development projects; and coaching individuals for building strong data foundations. We collaborate with our internal customers to continuously raise the bar and build a CI culture to support all who keep the world moving.

The Business Data Analytics Team in CI PMO responsible for providing hands-on coaching, consultation, and upskilling of Daimler Truck colleagues in self-service data analytics tools and methodologies.

We are looking for a candidate that has a passion for their own learning as well as developing others. Someone that demonstrates a broad set of self-service skills including data mining, data domain expertise, data blending & manipulation, and data visualization. We are seeking an individual that brings a curious and creative mindset that wants to level up our organizational competency in data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Engage and contribute in day to day activities to support Data Analytics, Digitalization, and Coaching projects that enable data driven decision making and upskilling organizational competency.

• Learn and apply data analysis tools, software, and techniques in a dynamic, spirited, engaged hybrid work environment.

• Support and further development of data solutions for the greater CI PMO department.

• Contribute to the development of data and analytics solutions and coaching engagements via data mining, query development, process automation, and/or visualization development.

• Assist in organization of Daimler Truck North America annual Data Day event.

• Assist in DTNA self-service environment oversight and governance.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Analytics or related quantitative field OR 6 years experience in lieu of degree

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build relationships.

• Solid communication skills, i.e. ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences including executives.

• Strong focus on self-development and ability to learn and apply new skills.

Typical Minimum Experience Preferred (Desired Skills/Experience)

• 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred

• Demonstrated proficiency with SQL (preferred).

• Demonstrated proficiency in visualization software (Tableau or PowerBI preferred).

• @hybrid: Number of days at home and at the office will be determined through an ongoing conversation with your Manager. DTNA will ensure that your WFH set-up meets wi-fi / data minimum requirements and sets you up for success. Travel to the office is not reimbursed and employee must live close enough to attend regular in-person collaborative meeting with at least 24-hour notice.
