Serving three primary markets – passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment – Dana provides the world’s original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

Purpose

The Manager, Aftermarket Data Analytics will be part of the Aftermarket Leadership team focused on data strategy, business intelligence, advanced analytics, and master data.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with functional leadership to advance analytics capabilities across the Aftermarket.
  • Create and maintain the analytics project portfolio, prioritization, roadmaps, project plans and status reporting.
  • Gather requirements from key stakeholders and recommend solutions
  • Perform itemization, analysis, and documentation of existing data sources used by, and available to, the department.
  • Document the source, content, connection methods, and description of business value of data sources.
  • Document business data use cases and identify data quality needs.
  • Coordinate and conduct meetings such as: user interviews of business process reviews; gathering of data use case requirements; various status reports
  • Develop strategy and implement version control and security of reports
  • Creates annual operating plan (AOP) for analytics department
  • Works with enterprise data team to create project proposals and statements of work in support of analytics initiatives
  • Creates, maintains, and hosts user training on Dana’s analytical tools and certified datasets.
  • Maintain existing Power BI implementation and recommend future state
  • Use Power BI or other analytical tools to create reports and dashboards that give decision makers quick access to the data they need
  • Manage a team of BI Developers to execute on project portfolio

Education And Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Related Field or equivalent job experience
  • Minimum of 1 years of management experience in Business Intelligence Reporting, Software Development, or Database Administration
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in business process improvement, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or related field
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time as needed with the ability to work non-traditional business hours
  • Experience working with business partners to define project scope, roadmaps, functional requirements, and project plans
  • Knowledge of enterprise transactions systems like SAP, Oracle, HFM and Salesforce

Skills And Competencies

  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI and Power Apps
  • Proficiency with SQL and database technologies
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Effective listener and communicator
  • Proficient technical skills in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and SAP is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and forward thinking
  • Able to effectively interface with other disciplines in the organization to achieve result
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results
  • Creation of project roadmaps and plans
