Job Location: Chennai( Oragadam )
We are looking for a profile who knows the Power BI tool in and out. He or she would be responsible for the development and administration of BI tools along with complete knowledge of the BI system. Extra-ordinary competency or skill to convert raw data into meaningful insights through interactive and easy-to-understand dashboards and reports would be essential for this role
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in PowerBI development, maintenance, and optimization
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in business intelligence, databases, and especially, technical aspects of BI tools
- Proficient to work on a wide number of tasks including reporting, creating dashboards, building data models, analyzing datasets, building reports, and complete administration of the Power BI tool.
- Ability to lead a project independently, convert business requirements to Technical specification, develop realistic project plan/milestones/sub-activities performed by using structured approach and methodologies
- Ability to understand business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights which is visually high appealing that aids decision-making for stake holders
- Proficient in performing DAX queries, functions in PowerBI, Custom measures /calculations etc.
- Collaborate with users and team members at all level for performance improvement and suggestions
- Candid experience in creating data-rich dashboards, writing DAX expressions, implementing row-level security in Power BI, connecting various source data such as Excel, SQL, Share-point, CRM systems, Salesforce etc.
- Sound knowledge of database management, SQL querying, data modeling, data warehousing, business intelligence, Power pivot etc.
- Strong in Data Visualization techniques with comprehensive knowledge of data design, data modeling, data management, and data visualization with ability to learn and respond quickly to the fast-changing business environment
- Stay updated with advancements and best practices in design and development
Education, Skills &Experience:
- BTech, BE (ECE), BCom or any degree related to Systems /Computer / Accounting & Finance with 5+ years of experience
- Excellent communication skills can interact with different process owners and understand the requirements quickly. Both Verbal, Written & Inter-personal
- Analytical mindset with a problem-solving aptitude
- Strong in stake holder management – Experience in handling Global Stake holders is a must
- Document process, models, designs, and solutions and able to explain, represent, and discuss with the team, users/stakeholders
- Self-motivator, Perseverance, Proactive and Agile
- Disciplined approach to work. Sticks to process and procedures always
- Ability to work in an agile environment with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to multitask and excellent interpersonal skills
- Apply learned lessons into future solution considerations
- Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
