Overview

The main tasks of the Technical Business Analyst will include performing detailed requirements analysis, writing technical specifications, and performing user acceptance testing. This position requires a tech-savvy professional with an in-depth understanding of eCommerce systems and application implementation, strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to act as liaison between the internal stakeholders and the technical team in charge of developing the application. This role is responsible for overseeing ongoing site production releases, effectively releasing new feature and functions, and developing sound processes that ensure that business and technical requirements are effectively met.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be able to effectively manage the following responsibilities:

  • Lead technology requirements and discovery sessions, working with business and cross functional teams including: Digital Business, Technical (Digital, OM and ERP), Merchandising, Marketing/Digital Marketing, Analytics, Customer Service, Retail and Logistics.
  • Break down high level requirement into technical specifications, create user stories, test cases and acceptance criteria
  • Manage the creation of Epics and User Stories, aligning where necessary with business and technical subject matter experts e.g., Sales, Marketing, Finance, Technical Leads, etc
  • Document, communicate, and review requirements with project team members and sponsors.
  • Lead sprint planning and prioritization
  • Create and manage JIRA tickets, prioritize them, and ensure the right work is being done and the business goals are being met.
  • Manage communications with stakeholders, development team, and vendors
  • Work with Test Lead and coordinate all functional teams to complete user acceptance testing, including capturing and prioritizing defects for development teams.
  • Manage and triage backlog, and production support tickets, considering business priority, effort required and strategic roadmap.
  • Contribute to the development of digital product roadmaps, release, and implementation plans.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should have a strong mix of technical and functional experience with eCommerce systems, including content management systems, back-end, and front-end development.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Must be able to efficiently manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and excel in a high growth environment.
  • Must be a solutions-oriented problem solver, highly analytical and strategic thinker.
  • Experience delivering using (hybrid) Agile methodology, Jira (ticket management) and Confluence.
