DeepHealth is a Cambridge, MA based subsidiary of RadNet, Inc and leading developer of artificial intelligence (AI) for medical imaging interpretation. DeepHealth uses machine learning to create tools that will help radiologists interpret mammograms more accurately and efficiently, for both 2D full-field digital mammograms and 3D digital breast tomosynthesis.. DeepHealth’s mission is to enable the best care by providing products that clinicians and patients can trust, through rigorous science and clinical integration.

Job Summary:

The Machine Learning Engineer is responsible for developing and productionizing artificial intelligence (AI) products. This includes both AI model development and software engineering tasks, and working with a team of software engineering, clinical, and regulatory specialists to deliver these models to clinical care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing new machine learning/AI models
  • Maintaining and improving current AI models
  • Working with clinical team to assess AI model performance
  • Curating and analyzing large medical imaging datasets
  • Writing production-level code to turn AI models into robust products
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of technological tools in modern healthcare such as DICOM, PACS, and HL7

Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • Strong programming skills in Python and its scientific computing libraries (pandas, numpy, etc.)
  • Experience ( >2 years) with version control and Git
  • Experience ( >2 years) with deep learning libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
  • Experience with analyzing large datasets
  • Strong attention to detail

Preferred

  • Experience in writing production-level code
  • Knowledge and experience in cloud infrastructure (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS, etc.)
  • Experience with a container platform (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience working with large-scale medical data
  • Experience with software development lifecycles and best practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
