We are looking for a Power BI Developer to join our BICC team who will be responsible for the overall design & deployment of Dashboard and its effective implementation. The individual will understand business problems and create solutions to address them leveraging Power BI Platform and other data sources. The individual is also responsible for effectively delivering the results to the relevant stakeholders

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor’s degree in engineering in computer science or equivalent, masters is a plus
Minimum 3 years of software development experience in Power BI
Analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports. Expertise in using advance level calculations on the data set
Experience in supporting the full BI lifecycle from requirements analysis, through design & development and support/maintenance phases
Excellent communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and follow through to completion with minimal supervision – larger projects, change requests, task commitments and a self-starter
Expertise in writing queries, procedures and views in SQL is an added advantage
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficiency in other BI platforms apart from Power BI is a plus
Responsibilities:
Roles and Responsibilities
Understand business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights
Support stakeholders by providing accurate and high-quality solutions driven by impactful visualizations for decision making
Combine industry experience with an understanding of Power BI for creating best in class innovative solutions
Connect Microsoft Power BI Desktop to various data sources (Structured sources and APIs) and Azure Synapse
Good technical background in complete Power BI Infrastructure
Create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models
Chart creation and data documentation explaining algorithms, parameters, models, and relations
Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform detailed analytics
Creating calculated measures and columns with advanced DAX functions
Publishing reports to Power BI service and setting up the necessary connection and scheduling
Managing Published reports through distribution of apps and monitoring usage/data refreshes/security access.
Ingesting data from a variety of data sources and performing required transformations
Utilizing the navigation features in Power BI (e.g., bookmarks, drill-through) to guide readers through a compelling data-driven story
Able to implement row level security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI
Assures designs and project activities are in compliance with data policies, architecture, security and quality guidelines and standards
