About Business Unit:
Enterprise Business Intelligence and Analytics (EBIA) is part of Dell IT Organization. EBIA Organization holds Dell’s enterprise data from various source systems and provides end to end data, reporting, analytics etc. solutions to inside stakeholders, as well as to Dell’s partner organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares flow charts and systems diagrams to assist in problem analysis.
- Responsible for preparing design documentation.
- Designs, codes, tests and debugs software according to Dell’s standards, policies and procedures.
- Codes, tests and documents programs according to system standards.
- Prepares test data for unit, string and parallel testing.
- Analyzes business needs and creates software solutions.
- Evaluates and recommends software and hardware solutions to meet user needs.
- Interacts with business users and I/T to define current and future application requirements.
- Executes schedules, costs and documentation to ensure project comes to successful conclusion.
- Initiates corrective action to stay on project schedules.
- May assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of lower level employees.
- Provide ETL solutions for projects.
- Take end to end ETL development responsibility.
- Leads small to moderate budget projects. Lead a team of 3-5 developers.
Essential Requirements:
- Over all 8+ years of experience in data-warehousing area with excellent communication and analytical skills.
- At least 8+ experience in any ETL Tools, Informatica, Streamsets,Python .
- At least 8+ experience in any RDBMS. Preferably Teradata, or good exposure on Oracle, MS SQL or other enterprise database system.
- Deep knowledge and strong deployment experience in the Hadoop and Big Data ecosystem – Hadoop, Flume, Hive, HBase, Pig, HDFS, MapReduce, Linux, etc
- Knowledge in developing front end of the application using Python, Java, Html, CSS, Ajax, JSon and JQuery.
- Need to have working experience of at least one scheduling tool, preferably Control M.
- Must be very good with Data Warehouse concepts and SQL querying skills.
- Must have hands on (current) experience on UNIX/Linux environment.
- Mandatory excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must be experienced in diverse industries & tools, and data warehousing technologies.
- Over and above candidates should be ready to work in support environment on a rotational basis when required.
Desirable Requirements:
- Teradata Certification
- Informatica Certification
- Experience in working in Agile (SCRUM) Methodology
