Principal Service Delivery Engineer

What you’ll achieve
As a Service Delivery Engineer, you will provide world-class delivery support to our customers by building an in-depth knowledge of our customers’ priorities and initiatives and becoming a trusted advisor that avoids customer impact and facilitates continuous improvement. You will identify potential sales and growth opportunities and will partner with key stakeholders to maximize these prospects.
You will:

Responsible for project success, SLA/process adherence, Incident, Change and Problem management, infrastructure management, maintenance, review, and recommend on Data Protection, Virtualization, Cloud, Storage, Systems, Network, Capacity solutions.

Responsible for performing daily operational tasks and maintaining availability at the customer site(s). Provisions solutions based on standardized procedures as outlined by Dell Technology best practice documentation.

Excellent troubleshooting skills with proven track record of successful incident management

Participates in the design and operational execution of the customer’s disaster recovery process as required.

Acts as expert for infrastructure Professional Services teams in the plan, manage, and delivery of support solutions.

Essential Requirements

In-depth knowledge and 8+ years of experience in Dell EMC Data Protection product suites

Knowledge desired on module backup such as Oracle, SQL, NDMP and VADP over Networker or Avamar , Power Protect, IDPA and DPA custom report config

Performance Tuning, Cloning configuration, troubleshooting, Staging, Media Management, Disaster Recovery and new device provisioning in production.

In Depth Knowledge on Avamar and/or Networker, IDPA, PPDM, CR. Modules like databases, VM backups, Data Domain, Tape Libraries. Solid knowledge on backup and restore skills.

Skills on Storage and virtualization will be added advantage
