Senior Data Engineer

What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building game changing data capabilities that improve Dell’s logistics, trade & financial performance. You will work with internal business stakeholders, IT, data architects, and network engineer’s to co-create digital tools leveraging best in class data engineering processes.
You will:

Work closely with Business Stakeholders and Solution Architects to deploy digital use cases and measurable business metrics that enhance Dell’s financial, trade and/or operational performance

Designs, codes, tests and debugs software according to Dell’s standards, policies and procedures.

Develops code base to measure completeness, timeliness, sequencing and integrity for a given data scope – ensuring data quality management

Build, perform analysis & tests on large operational datasets to determine causes of & variation in low data quality.

Develop rich interactive dashboards that are intuitive and easy to use

Essential Requirements
-
5 to 8 years’ experience in Data or BI engineering dealing with large complex data scenarios.
-
Experience with warehousing/big data environments: Teradata, Green-Plum coupled with Proficiency in SQL, PostgreSQL, SSAS, SSIS and various BI tools.

Solution design experience to advise on MSBI Platforms
-
Experience working on PowerBI and DAX queries
-
Proven ability to work with varied data infrastructures – including relational databases, and file-based storage solutions and expertise in optimizing queries and ETL tasks involving large amounts of data
Desirable Requirements
-
Master’s and Prior experience contributing to full stack Applications
-
Experience working in Agile (SCRUM) frameworks & supply chain domains
