Technical Support Engineer 1 (Server)
Location :Bangalore

Our Technical Support team is there for them whenever they need help – by phone or email, online and on social media. No matter how complex the challenge, we rise to it. We answer questions about the installation, operation, configuration, customization and use of Dell Technologies products. For critical matters, we use our systems to provide remote diagnostic technical support. If there’s an issue with a customer’s product, we’ll analyze it, identify the cause, recommend a solution and document the problem.

What you’ll achieve

As part of our Technical Support team you will work with highly skilled technical advisors to develop and deliver solutions that enable customers to maximize returns on IT investments, drive efficiencies and reduce costs.

You Will:

  • Respond to customer technical problems/issues related to hardware, software and networking via e-mail/chat/web and phone.
  • Use troubleshooting techniques and tools to identify products that are defective and follow guidelines in issuing service calls/contacts.
  • Advise/educate customers within procedural guidelines to ensure a complete solution to their technical or service questions and Accountable to own customer experience detractors (Technical support /Sales/Support site/ EMF/PG/Telecom etc.,) & adapt a CLCA approach to limit such challenges going forward
  • Monitor and track issues to ensure accurate resolution and involve in revenue generation activities with current Dell customers.
  • Review and distribute pertinent cross-functional information (e.g., Sales, Technical account managers, Field Services, Customer Care, External Vendors, etc.).

Essential Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 Years of overall Technical support Experience Or 2+ years of Experience in Server/Storage Domain
  • Primary Skills: A+, N+ Server + certifications
  • Expected to substantially contribute to Oracle knowledge base focused to drive Ri1
  • Good interpersonal skills to interact with clients, senior level personnel, team members, and support staff
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision and Flexible to work in 24/7 environment

Desirable Requirements:

  • PowerEdge Associate Certification, PowerEdge Specialist Certification, ISMv4, VCP, CCNA, VCP – will be an added advantage
