What you’ll achieve
As Data Scientist, you will lead the design of AI/ML systems to resolve practical problems, working with cross functional teams, including software engineers, data engineers and business analysists.You should have extensive experience in analysing and building models against large datasets. You should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with business owners to develop and define key business questions, and to build models and simulations that answer those questions.
You will:
- Work closely with product managers and understand business requirements and objective to accomplish
- Understand business objectives and develop models that help to achieve them, along with metrics to track their progress
- Work closely with product line architects and developers in getting the designs implemented and deliver production ready software
- Lead discussions to frame problem statements, develop hypotheses, design data frames, recommend modeling approaches, measure success & testing criteria
Essential Requirements
- Education: University degree in statistics, mathematics, physics or engineering with a focus in analytics, machine learning, statistical learning methods and approaches. More than 5 years of experience in successfully working as part of a professional Data Science unit
- Proficiency with Python, and libraries/frameworks for machine learning such as Scikit-learn, Pandas, TensorFlow, Keras
- Experience with most of the standard methods: linear regression, logistic regression, regularized regressions, nearest neighbors, k-means, DB scan, collaborative filtering, decision trees, random forests, extreme gradient boosting, support vector machines, neural networks and deep learning
- Very strong analytical skills and ability to contribute to an open, international team culture to drive the knowledge exchange and learning of all team members
Desirable Requirements
- Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis
- Analyze data for trends and patterns and predictive modeling experience
- Experience with Tableau, SQL, and programming languages – Java, Python
