The team
Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our client’s end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.
Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience, and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.
Job Description and Key Skills
- As a DevOps Architect, the candidate is responsible for building platforms and frameworks to create consistent, verifiable and automated management of infrastructure and applications
- Re-defining Client architecture by analyzing the current system and following new practices
- Research, develop, configure, and implement tools for continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Drive ongoing improvements and efficiencies in technology and operational practices
- Drive efficiencies in product releases and processes: capacity planning, configuration management, performance tuning, monitoring, backup/restore and root cause analysis.
- Work closely with product/project teams to ensure stable implementations.
- Develop automation for Infrastructure, application deployments and configuration
- Build reliability tools and frameworks for use by all engineers and client showcase
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in IT industry
- Should have minimum 5+ years of experience in Assessment/Architecting/Designing/ Implementation of Cloud based projects
- Must have Google/AWS/Azure certification
An ideal candidate should possess:
- Experience with architecting Infrastructure for Cloud native applications on AWS/Azure/Google’s cloud services, microservices, containerization on Kubernetes, DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space
- Extensive project experience migrating from legacy systems and deploying complex cloud-based solutions and an understanding of large-scale computing solutions
- Experience in
- Programming languages like YAML ,Python , Go ,Shell scripting or equivalent language
- Source code management using GitHub/GitLab, JIRA and other tools like
- configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef
- Observability tools like Splunk , ELK , Prometheus
- Devsecops frameworks and tools
- Hands on experience working with Docker, Kubernetes
- Sound understanding of SDLC, Incident and Change management
- Good knowledge of application security and information security controls
- Ability to chart one’s own career and build networks within the organization
- Ability to work both, independently and as part of a team with professionals at all career levels
- Ability to deliver results and work cross-functionally; engage/influence audiences and identify expansion engagements.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and raise concerns/questions where appropriate
