Work you’ll do
- Proficient with MS Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Competent ability to create queries in SOL or other query languages/systems
- Helps improve and streamline processes to improve data accuracy, viability, and value
- Helps migrate data from one solution to another
- Gather and prepare data to support analytics from a variety of data source types including databases, flat files, external sources, as necessary
- Produce written recommendations and insights for key stakeholders that will help shape effective Supply Chain strategies worldwide
- Review business requirements. and write technical report specifications
- Validate data results with business analysts, developers, quality assurance engineers and/or customers
- Define, document, and implement an end-to-end BI methodology for a successful delivery process, and ensure adoption
- Design/implement Databases, Data warehouses and BI solutions around high volume enterprise applications
- Understand how to leverage Microsoft AD security in a Database
- Maintain necessary level of SOL server security
- Optimizing system performance and storage utilization
- Writing queries, scripts and stored procedures, new product installations
- Take proactive measures to monitor, trend, and tune SQL databases, such as running maintenance jobs (backups, apply indexes and re-indexing), to meet or exceed baseline stability and performance SLAs on large databases (1 TB+) and large volumes of databases.
- Implements and continuously improves the database infrastructure environment
- Monitor backup jobs on all enterprise databases and perform routine disaster recovery scenarios
- Support the database management system and all related software
- Respond to and resolve any issues that may occur on production database systems
- Recommend processes to maintain database security
- Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures using SOL Server maintenance plans
- Database Security and Audit Compliance
- Perform database security audits
- Ensure database code meets company standards
- Understand database performance
- Conduct monthly database maintenance tasks
- Write scripts to automate repetitive tasks
- Be available on-call to resolve any issues that may occur after business hours
- Deploy database changes during release cycles
- Writes and delivers complex code and modules for new features, and debugs existing, code.
- Less experienced Developers – IFTEs, Contractors, Offshore Partner Resources – on such activities.
- Participates in the development of coding practices, guidelines and all technical processes and ensures they are followed by junior staff
- Translate product vision and requirements into software design
- Thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs
- Write clean, maintainable code following best practices (unit testing, source control, continuous integration, automation, design patterns)
- Collaborate with other developers, testers, and system engineers to ensure quality product enhancements

- Interpreting software requirements specifications, programming, implementing, and maintaining code according to ASP.NET standards, performing Unit testing

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s (or equivalent) degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline is required
- 5+ years of DBA and software dev experience, expertise in database structure design and database administration, proficient in complex query analysis and tuning, database builds, migrations and upgrades, system, and database troubleshooting
- Experienced in alternate open-source technology is a plus
- Experienced in database partitioning and methodologies, prioritization, interpersonal and resource management skills, and delivering technical documentation
- Able to work with minimum supervision, able to contribute to teamwork
- Technical training program in software development programming language plus eight years business experience
- 5+ years of experience supporting and administering secure systems
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience SQL Server Database Administration in Mid and Large-scale enterprise environments
- Experience defining team communication protocols and procedures
- Experience defining and enforcing IIT processes and procedures
- Extensive knowledge of the T-SQL
- 5+ years of programming experience with programming languages
- Web Application development that includes experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, NoSQL Databases
