- Proven track record of managing small delivery-focussed data teams
- Knowledge of and experience using data models and data dictionaries in a Banking and Financial Markets context. Knowledge of Trade Finance or Securities Services particularly useful.
- Knowledge of one or more of the following domains (including market data vendors):
- Party/Client
- Trade (Financial Instruments)
- GTRF (Global Trade and Receivable Finance)
- Settlements (Trade Settlements)
- Payments (SWIFT, Local clearing, International and Domestic Payments)
- Instrument and pricing
- Market and/or Credit Risk
- Lending.
- Global Liquidity, HSS and other banking products.
- Preferable knowledge and experience in Data Quality & Governance.
- Can write SQL queries, Python, Scala. Spark knowledge preferable and navigate data bases especially Hive, Hadoop, CMD, Putty.
- Experience of using and flattening XML, FPML, JSON.
- Experience of big data programmes preferable

- Business analysis skills, defining and understanding requirements.
- Extra-ordinary Attention to detail
- Good knowledge of SDLC and formal Agile processes, a bias towards TDD and a willingness to test products as part of the delivery cycle SIT, UAT and Production Support.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a multi-programme environment across a range of stakeholders

Key Deliverables of this role:
Senior Data Analyst
- Effectively able to engage with various Levels of Stakeholders and understand the Business Requirement.
- Define and obtain source data required to successfully deliver insights and use cases.
- Create methods to highlight and report data inconsistencies, allowing users to review and provide feedback on.
- Propose suitable data migration sets to the relevant stakeholders
- Assist teams with processing the data migration sets as required
- Determine the data mapping required to join multiple data sets together across multiple sources
- Technically able to validate, analyze, data model and write the clear use stories to Data Engineers.
- Define the Data Asset Generation Design with Best Practices in various Data Workflow.
- Continuously able to support Data engineers throughout the complete SDLC.
- Able to be innovative in providing the best data design solutions and suggestions to achieve the business expectations.
- Able to support the SIT, UAT and Production Support.
- Assist with the planning, tracking and coordination of the data migration team and with the migration run book and the scope for each cutover.
- Able to document the data design and solutions to the high end for future reference.
- Understand the Data Definition Tagging processes like Logical to Physical Mapping, Data Processing Flow to measure the consistency etc.,
- Co-ordinate with CDO (Chief Data Office) for Trusted Source validation and data modelling.
- Able to understand the Data Governance Processes to monitor and deliver the data solutions with compliance in place.
Leadership & Teamwork:
- Senior Data Analysts must be able to lead the smaller data analyst team to set the standards of best practice and mentor throughout the deliveries.
- Lead and work closely with all teams (including virtual teams), creating a strong culture of transparency and collaboration
