Finance & Performance is a set of offerings that assist finance executives with assessing their finance strategy and vision, and helps design and implement change to their finance organization, process and systems to improve the overall value of finance.

An Anaplan Consultant in our Anaplan Practice will be responsible for being an integral part of delivering Anaplan Solutions for our clients. This role requires technical expertise to create Anaplan models, ability to handle different data sets and upload them into Anaplan and good functional business understanding. This role also entails participating in teams to estimate project tasks, elicit requirements from clients, design the application, complete design documentation and conduct end user training.

The primary role of a Manager is to make immediate, direct contributions to enhancing our clients’

competitive position and performance in ways that are distinctive, innovative, and sustainable.

Manager frequently mentor one or more junior team members.

To do this, Manager must perform the following activities:

  • Manages a small to medium-sized team of project managers who are the primary contact for internal clients and groups within the organization for projects that are small to medium in scale.
  • The Team is responsible for end-to-end project management activities such as project reporting, project planning, issue/risk identification and tracking, scope management, estimation, client management, relationship management and other project documentation preparation.
  • Serves as a liaison between internal clients and other stakeholders to ensure delivery of small to medium scale projects on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Manages communication with the business at a detailed functional level and discusses/resolves issues.
  • Manages client expectations and ensures project delivery is in conformance with company methodologies.
  • Proactively manages a small to medium-sized team of project managers.
  • Provides guidance on business and technical subject matter to associates.
  • Manages projects via creation and maintenance of project plans, work breakdown structures, schedule effort estimation and tracking.
  • Conducts status meetings and facilitates issues resolution and risk mitigation. Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
  • Recommends enhancements to project management tools/techniques and company methodologies.
  • Manages a small to medium-sized project management team. Responsible for the achievement of team goals and objectives.

Skills Required

  • Experience in leading 2-3 large Analytics and Business Intelligence projects
  • Hands on experience in SDLC, Waterfall and Agile projects
  • Good understanding and hands on functional experience in Analytics toolset (such as PowerBI, Tableau, SAP BO, SAC, DOMO)
  • Strong hands-on experience in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Google cloud.
  • Exposure on Azure Data factory would be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with Data Technology Stack (SQL Server, Amazon Redshift, Informatica, MicroStrategy)
  • Technical execution experience of BI projects encompassing Scoping, design and implementation of data platforms, data pipelines, data models, reports/dashboards and data-driven applications
  • Strong understanding of project management concepts
  • Experience working with international clients
  • Excellent communication and articulation skills
  • Flexibility to travel (domestic and international)
  • Typical Experience: Total 9-14 years in IT with 5-6 years of experience in managing projects through the entire lifecycle (Project initiation to closure phase)
  • Experience in Energy sector- optional
  • Bachelors in Engineering (preferably Computer Science) / MBA
  • Attained, or working towards PMP® certification and Agile certification
  • Typical Programme Complexity: Projects with multiple workstreams and deliverables, impacting a collection of business processes or teams, with business and technical change. Impacts a single function or team;
  • Typical Programme Size: Up to 20-60 people;
  • Typical Programme Budget: $2M+;
