Position Summary

RISK AND BRAND PROTECTION (R&BP)


COMPLIANCE SENIOR ANALYST

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of common financial instruments such as investments, loans, insurance products and different types of company structure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with individuals ranging from staff to partners.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical skills with an emphasis on attention to detail
  • Strong ability to follow procedures consistently, knowing when to seek guidance
  • Solid research skills and familiarity with various research tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, S&P Capital)
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion
  • Ability, and desire / interest, to participate in special projects as needed
  • Proficient with technology tools such as Microsoft Office (MS Excel)
  • Database and analytical tools will be a plus
  • Ability to work extra hours / overtime during peak periods
  • Understanding of Independence requirements for a professional auditing firm

Risk & Brand Protection (R&BP)

R&BP team play a critical role in enhancing, preserving and protecting the reputation of the Deloitte organization. Functions within R&BP include Independence Operations, Independence Audits, Conflicts, Independence Representations, Discipline and Continuing Education. They assist in ensuring compliance with firm policies and professional standards in the areas of auditor independence, compliance and risk.

Deloitte Entity Search and Compliance (DESC)

Auditing firms need to maintain affiliate information of their clients in order to adhere to Auditor Independence. The DESC team reviews and updates Deloitte’s clients and its affiliates and applies appropriate restrictions as per the regulatory guidance.

Work you’ll do

  • Review new and existing business relationships associated with the firm.
  • Work on adhoc request and projects as and when needed
  • Maintain quality and timeline in day to day operations
  • Identify and monitor mergers and/or acquisitions involving individuals or entities Deloitte has a business relationship with currently for further action.
  • Develop best practices, consistently apply a base of knowledge to matters that arise
  • Identify and resolve exceptions to policies and professional standards in a timely manner
  • Coordinate frequently with other members across the member firm’s Risk & Regulatory Affairs group to effectively serve Deloitte professionals


Qualifications Required

  • MBA Finance or related field
  • Three to five years of total/relevant experience
  • Familiarity with research on financial instruments
  • Proficiency with MS office
  • Strong communication skills
