Position Summary
Application Insights – Tableau Developer
We are looking for an incumbent who performs standard business analysis using a variety of techniques, e.g. statistical analysis, descriptive and predictive analytics, ROI calculations, break-even analysis, pay-off analysis, and discovery-based data mining. This role researches and helps define internal best practices and supports developing the recommendations and solutions designed to help the business achieve desired outcomes. Accepts overall responsibility and establishes appropriate controls for delivering team objectives of the key feature value assessment and application effectiveness monitoring deliverables. Works cross-departmentally to create analytics journey-map deliverables. Responsible for measuring application success and monitoring adoption goals and usage to accelerate user adoption of business applications. Works with internal clients and constituents to identify analytical needs, gather requirements, perform analysis, and interpret results and present findings and recommendations for implementation
What You Will Do:
- Work with the business and ITS technical teams to develop success measurement and analytics plans and ensure the infrastructure requirements are in place to measure the effectiveness of key features, ensuring that business goals and user needs are met.
- Adept at developing ETL processes that facilitate the creation of data sets in our ecosystem that are used to support analytic discovery.
- Adept at writing T-SQL queries, creating stored procedures and SSIS packages to support data science, analytic and business intelligence initiatives, projects and requests.
- Develop, design, and maintain Tableau dashboards and analytics
- Collect, refine, and prepare data for analytics and visualization
- Manage and utilize the Tableau platform to extract meaningful insights from it
- Prepare reports using various visualization and data modeling methods
- Define new KPIs and consistently measure in the datasets
- Collecting data from various data sources and normalize it
- Test and publish dashboards and reports and schedule refresh
- Define access controls and implement security measures whenever required
- Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements
- Drill-down data and prepare reports with utmost accuracy
- Creating wireframes and beta dashboards with a focus on user experience, correctness, and visibility
- Improve overall process in data management, collection, dashboard design, and entire product life-cycle
- Apply algorithms and statistical methods to obtain answers from data
- Solving any data or performance issues related to workbooks and data sources
- Frame business questions and practices in analytic terms and translate business requirements into corresponding datasets, analyses and required reports.
- Assist other members to ensure the work meets quality standards for science-based deliverables.
- Analyze work product progress and provide objective reporting of project status.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data, synthesize findings, and convey them through effective writing.
- Facilitate the departmental Customer Satisfaction Survey from deployment to analysis.
- Prepare reports and deliver presentations to inform business leader decision making. (e.g. Client proposal, progress reports, insight reports)
- Serve as a resource for the team who may execute individually-assigned tasks.
- Support team activities and project planning.
- Develop and deliver special projects as required.
- Serve organizational role(s) in DAS Data Science Community of Practice, Specialist Community of Practice, and AI Coomunity of Interest as needed.
Work timings: 9am-4pm, 7pm- 9pm
Location: Bangalore/ Hyderabad

The Application Insights team serves our customers— business and technical teams—with data-driven insights to guide data-focused, informed business and investment decisions. The team prioritizes accelerating user adoption and measuring the success of applications. Their competencies range from setting metrics and adoption goals, to establishing analytics platforms, to performing the analysis, and concluding with insights.
Qualifications:
Education:
- BE, B. Tech/ MCA/ M. Tech
- Undergraduate major or coursework in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Management Information Systems
- Undergraduate major in Finance, Accounting, Operations, Economics with interest/aptitude in technology demonstrated through technology minor, coursework or work experience
Preferred
- Advanced degree in Business Analytics
Experience:
- 3+ years of professional experience related field
- Superior critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge in IT Service Management principles, processes, and methodologies
- Consultative approach toward clients
- Strong business writing skills
- Strong communications and delivery skills
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
Skills:
- Proficiency with SQL Server (SSMS, SSIS) developing queries, stored procedures, packages and ETL routines
- Proficiency with creating data visualizations in Tableau, PowerBI,Qlikview
- Advanced MS Excel and Pivot knowledge, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
- Analytics tools (e.g. Abode Analytics, Google analytics) and ETL tools (Alteryx, Informatica, etc.) and experience working with unstructured data is a plus
- Experience in using R/Python to connect to various datasources and munge the data in a format which is usable for downstream analysis is a plus
